Hotel

All Institutes take place at the Grand Hall of The Cherokees located on the second floor of the Cherokee Casino and Resort, 777 West Cherokee, Catoosa, Oklahoma (just northeast of Tulsa). Negotiated rates for the conference are $73 per night at the Resort and $49 per night at the Cherokee Inn across the street from the Resort. A 6% tribal fee is imposed, but no other taxes or fees.

Reservations

Due to limited availability of rooms (100 per night), you are encouraged to book reservations as soon as possible. Reservations must be made directly with the Resort.

When making a reservation, you must request the group rate for Guardians of Tribal Culture and use the group code from above. Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. The Resort will honor the group rate for early arrivals and departures on an availability basis. The negotiated rate expires 30-days prior to the start of each Institute or until all rooms are booked.

Hotel Features

Guest rooms feature hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, in-room safes, whirlpool tubs in all king suites, free local phone calls, free wireless and hard-wired Internet connections, flat screen TV with cable, HBO, and On Demand movies, tea and coffee makers, as well as microwaves and refrigerators available upon request. Hotel amenities include an indoor-outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub, a state-of-the-art workout facility, complimentary morning newspaper, gift shop, business center, 24-hour casino, six restaurants, and three entertainment lounges.

Transportation

Air Transportation

Tulsa International Airport is approximately nine miles from the Resort. Complimentary transportation to and from the Airport is offered from 5 am to 10 pm. The airport shuttle leaves the Resort every hour, on the hour, upon request.

Driving Directions

The Resort is located off Interstate 44 at 193 St., Exit 240A.

From the Tulsa International Airport, leave the airport on Airport Blvd/Airport Road, which becomes North 75th East Avenue. Turn right (east) on East Virgin Street and then turn left to take OK Hwy-11 East. Go south and merge onto I-244 East. Going east, I-244 becomes I-44 East. Stay on 1-44 East and exit right at exit 240A, which is 193rd East Avenue. Turn left (north) on 193rd East Ave. and go north three blocks and turn left (west) on Cherokee Street.

From Oklahoma City, take I-44 West toward Tulsa. Stay on I-44 and exit right at exit 240A, which is 193rd East Avenue. Turn left (north) on 193rd East Avenue and go north three blocks and turn left (west) on Cherokee Street.
